An essential book for all bookkeeping businesses

I originally purchased and read The E-Myth Revisited, which a close colleague of mine recommended. I have been building my bookkeeping business for the last 6 years. During this time, my discussions with other business owners continually circle back to this theory of setting up business systems/processes and procedures/work programs.
The E-Myth Revisited brought my unclear vision of setting up business systems from an idea, I would "eventually" get to completing, to the forefront of my to-do list. If I were going to build this business, I had to start the long tedious process of developing these systems that all my successful clients have created for their businesses.
After completing the book, I became very motivated to begin developing these processes and procedures. I also started telling clients of mine about this book. I went as far as buying the book for clients that faced the same difficulties growing their businesses. That is when I stumbled across the E-Myth series of industry-specific books. The E-Myth for Bookkeepers immediately became my bookkeeping bible.
The E-Myth Bookkeeper takes valuable information and chapters from the original book and tailors it to our specific industry. It piggybacks each chapter with Debbie Roberts’ (co-author) stories of how she implemented the book for her specific needs. Debbie describes her trials and tribulations on what worked for her and what was the most challenging. Her experiences in this book saved me months of running into the same challenges she faced. The E-Myth Bookkeeper is an absolute must if you want to develop your bookkeeping practice into a meaningful business that you can be proud of.

Different Business Book!

I'm giving this book five stars because it is explicit in advice and there isn't another book like it out there. I belive the parts Micheal wrote is cookie cutter to his other books but the bookkeeping sections are unique. It was easy to read and I did so in several nights. Worth reading for sure!

My new Business "Bible"

It was fantastic being at the launch of your book. I was so inspired by Debbie’s story and am devouring the book as we speak. My plan is to read it twice (to start with, lol) - the first time just reading and the second time with a series of Highlighters. I loved the E-myth Revisited and just like Debbie it had a great deal to do with the way I have developed my business, particularly in regards to the systemising of it – I still have plenty to work on though. Reading the E-Myth Bookkeeper (and I am only part way through) is amazing, all the brilliant ideas and concepts of the original book then customised to our industry, literally just answering all my questions. I love it. I am now more determined than ever to finish setting up my systems, which are Accountant focussed, and get my business out there.
